Ribcage
this design is made of wire, masking tape, foil, paper mache, and clay, finished off with white acrylic paint.

i wanted to make something that invoked the physical frame of the body, especially an area which is sexualised.

This sculpture is played by hitting or rubbing the wires, it is then picked up by two contact mics attached at the back.

hand
this design is made of wire, masking tape, paper mache, and clay, finished off with black and red acrylic paint.

with this design i set out to create something that felt personal and relatable, but made you feel uneasy.

the red is to symbolise blood, love and violence.

this sculpture is played by strumming the twine between the fingers, it is then picked up by a contact mic hidden in the palm of the hand.
